Dr. Tofu Ono serves as the neighborhood chiropractor, frequently tending to the bumps, bruises, and dislocated joints sustained by Akane and Ranma during their numerous battles. Despite his extensive knowledge of martial arts techniques, he is never depicted practicing them himself. He plays a pivotal role in helping Ranma find cures for the ailments caused by Happosai's moxibustion and Cologne's full body cat's tongue techniques. Tofu harbors deep romantic feelings for Kasumi Tendo, becoming visibly nervous and causing his glasses to fog up whenever she is near. This flustered state often leads to him accidentally injuring patients while in her presence. He is well-regarded within the community, particularly among older clients, and has previously employed Genma Saotome and Shampoo as assistants.
