Summary
Tokugawa Shigeshige serves as the Seii taishōgun of Japan, though his actual authority is significantly diminished due to the death of his father and the subsequent Amanto invasion. Consequently, he looks up to Police chief Matsudaira, regarding him as a father figure. He is frequently seen being escorted by Matsudaira to cabaret clubs, where he encounters Gintoki and the members of the Yorozuya. During these outings, he is often subjected to harassment by Otae and her companions.
