Summary
Hiroko Murohashi is a third-year student at Takatoobara Middle School located in Nagano Prefecture. She previously competed alongside Nodoka Haramura and Yuuki Kataoka during the prefectural middle school mahjong tournament in their second year. Due to her frequent association with her junior teammate Maho Yumeno, Yuuki refers to the pair as the "Muro-Maho Combination." In the first anime series, Hiroko and Maho travel to the Nagano prefectural high school tournament to witness Nodoka’s final match. Conversely, in the manga adaptation, the two do not attend the event; instead, they are invited by Hisa Takei to participate in Kiyosumi High School's national tournament training camp.
