Summary
Mugen is a twenty-year-old vagabond with untidy black hair resembling an afro and brown eyes. Born on the Ryukyu Islands to unknown parents, he was formerly a pirate before faking his death to escape a past incident. He carries a double-edged Tsurugi, often mistaken for a Katana, and conceals a Tanto within his scabbard’s hilt. Mugen employs a "Champloo Kendo" style, which blends various martial arts, unorthodox swordplay, and break dancing, relying on instinct and reflex to surprise opponents. Though rude, vulgar, and arrogant, he shares a mutual understanding with Jin and deeply cares for Fuu, frequently rescuing her when she is kidnapped. His attire reflects the future, contrasting with Jin’s past-inspired clothing, and he leads a wandering life after his encounters with the latter two.
