Campbell, Fusae
Summary
Fusae Campbell Kinoshita, a Japanese-American accessory designer known for her ginkgo leaf-themed brand, shares a complicated romantic history with Agasa Hakase. Of mixed heritage, she possesses blond hair, a feature that made her self-conscious and timid during her youth, leading her to hide her appearance under a low hat. In fourth grade, Agasa Hiroshi helped her overcome this shyness without mocking her unique look, sparking a deep affection between them. However, she moved away before she could confess her feelings, leaving behind a letter that promised to wait at the ginkgo trees behind Teitan Elementary School every ten years. Because her clues were too complex, Agasa failed to decipher them, and the two remained separated for four decades until the Detective Boys facilitated their reunion. By then, Fusae had achieved success in fashion, adopting the ginkgo leaf as her signature motif after Agasa once compared her hair to autumn leaves. Although they initially parted due to misunderstandings, they eventually recognized each other and Agasa was able to express his true feelings. Beyond her professional life, she has an English-speaking foreign parent and a stepfather whose friend Billy’s wife purchases her designs. Her kind nature is further highlighted by an incident where she lent Ran an umbrella while waiting for Agasa ten years before the main storyline.
