Summary
Rou Kaioushin is a deity who was trapped within the Z Sword by a formidable adversary he described as an incredibly strong evil fellow, who pinned him to the ground. Although he bears a resemblance to the East Kaioushin, Rou possesses an aged appearance marked by wrinkles and a small mustache. During the Majin Buu Saga, Son Gohan freed him by shattering the Zeta sword while attempting to slice through a block composed of the universe's strongest material. Upon his release, Rou offered to assist Gohan in unlocking his full potential to defeat Majin Buu, but only on the condition that he be allowed to date an Earth woman. Centuries prior, Rou considered himself quite handsome until a hideous witch stole one of his Potara Fusion Earrings and placed it on herself, resulting in a permanent fusion with her. While this transformation cost him his physical attractiveness, it significantly increased his magical power. In the Majin Buu Saga, he sacrificed his life to ensure Son Gokuu could survive, entrusting Gokuu with the Potara earrings to fuse with Gohan on Earth. Since he already resided in heaven, his death had minimal impact beyond the appearance of a halo above his head. Later, during the Baby Saga of Dragon Ball GT, he aided Gokuu in growing his tail back, a painful procedure that involved the use of a giant set of pliers, thereby helping Gokuu achieve greater strength.
