Nikaido, Nozomu
Summary
Nozomu Nikaido is a rather intriguing figure, though he notably fails to appear in the television adaptation. Consequently, many of his plotlines were rewritten, with him largely being replaced by Yotsuya-san, a development that carries a layer of irony given Nikaido’s strong dislike for the other character. As a college student from Ibaraki and a resident of Room 2, Nikaido is defined by his walking insensitivity and boundless curiosity. When he noticed that the other tenants had long since abandoned their attempts to uncover the truth about the peeping tom in Room 4, he decided to take matters into his own hands and investigate Yotsuya’s background personally.
