Toshihiko
Summary
Toshihiko is a student at Yomogi Nursery School, the workplace of Kobato. He appears in the second episode of the anime, where Kobato offers him support. Initially, Toshihiko is filled with sadness because his mother works late hours every day, leaving him alone, while others speak negatively about her. Kobato soothes his troubled heart by telling him that his mother is a good parent, providing exactly the reassurance he needed at that moment. Toshihiko’s healed heart becomes Kobato’s second kompeito, the colorful candies that fill her bottle.
