Summary
Aquinas Orsola is a blond, blue-eyed nun from Italy who serves as a skilled decoder for the Necessarius organization. Originally a prominent Roman Catholic nun, she became a target for assassination when it was discovered that she had decrypted the "Liber AL vel Legis" grimoire, a text containing dangerous magic. Unbeknownst to the Church, her true intention in decrypting the book was to destroy it entirely. Fearing for her life, she initially sought refuge with the Amakusa Catholics, but she soon fled them as well, distrusting their motives and suspecting they desired the grimoire's secrets. Her perspective shifted after meeting Tōma, who demonstrated that both he and the Amakusa members were genuinely trying to help her, bringing her relief to know there were still good people willing to offer assistance. Once it was revealed that she had never actually been able to decrypt the grimoire, the Catholic Church rescinded her death sentence. Consequently, she was granted sanctuary and protection under the joint jurisdiction of Necessarius and the Church of England.
