Mordred serves as the Saber-class Servant of Shishigou Kairi within the Red Faction during the Turifas Holy Grail War in Fate/Apocrypha. Although she is recognized as the "son" of King Arthur, Mordred is biologically female. She was raised in secret as the male heir to the throne and conditioned to conceal her true gender and obey the king without question. Her character made a brief appearance in a flashback sequence within the Fate/stay night anime.
