Summary
Miyagi serves as a thirty-five-year-old Literature Professor at M University, where he maintains a friendly relationship with his assistant Hiroki that belies Miyagi’s often playful demeanor. His romantic history is marked by a divorce from the Dean’s daughter, a split caused by his emotional detachment and single-minded dedication to his career. Deeply entrenched in the past, Miyagi remains emotionally bound to the memory of his late homeroom teacher, a woman he loved intensely but never had reciprocated. This unresolved obsession has left him bitter regarding the concept of love, leading him to vehemently deny any homosexual inclinations. However, his defenses are challenged when Shinobu, the younger brother of his ex-wife, arrives to pursue him, declaring their connection to be destiny. Despite Miyagi’s resistance and Shinobu’s aggressive advances, he finds himself unable to hide the profound impact Shinobu has on him.
