Summary
Takaki serves as the central protagonist of the film. He shares a close bond with Akari, though their relationship begins to fade when she relocates and they enroll in separate junior high schools. Although they maintain contact through letters, their connection is strained further when Takaki learns he must move to Tanegashima. The pair arrange to meet during a snowstorm, viewing the encounter as possibly their final one. Later in life, during his high school years, he joined the kyudo club.
