Summary
Kyouya Ootori is a 17-year-old second-year student at Ouran Gakuen who serves as the sly and calculating vice-president of the Host Club. Although his best friend and polar opposite, Tamaki Suoh, is the official president, Kyouya is the true power behind the scenes, orchestrating the club’s operations and earning the nickname "Shadow King." He manages all financial matters, often selling members' belongings, such as Haruhi's pencil, for profit, operating under the philosophy of using whatever is at hand, friend or foe. While his actions are primarily driven by self-interest, he occasionally shows a selfless side. As the third son of a wealthy and influential family, he faces immense pressure from his strict father to meet high expectations for taking over the family business. His volatile temper upon waking has also earned him the moniker "Low-Blood Pressure Evil Lord."
