Summary
Originally known as Koto, Obaba serves as both the village chief and physician, and is likely the oldest survivor on Airan. Having endured the shipwreck, she is believed to be at least 148 years old. Despite her advanced age, she remains physically robust and capable of administering physical discipline or using intimidation to correct disrespectful behavior. Although her involvement in the main narrative is limited, she is central to specific story arcs. Her descendant, Michiru, makes a brief appearance in the twenty-sixth episode of the anime.
