Summary
Chaos is introduced as the Second Generation Angeloid, Type Epsilon, serving as the primary antagonist following the Synapse arc. Despite being the smallest and most child-like of the Angeloids, standing at just 107 cm and weighing 19 kilograms, she wears nun-like attire and wields elaborate illusions to manipulate her appearance. She often mimics someone close to her victim to cause turmoil and confusion, such as when she disguised herself as Tomoki to torment Nymph. Unlike other Angeloids, she lacks wings and instead possesses a sinister array of bladed, organic-looking appendages for offense. Her most disturbing trait is an obsessive fascination with love, which she frequently questions in a creepy manner toward characters like Tomoki, Nymph, Astraea, and Ikaros. When Ikaros defined love as a figurative pain in her reactor, Chaos found this concept deeply troubling. Initially, Chaos appeared to torture Nymph before engaging Ikaros and Astraea. She first defeated Ikaros using her illusions but was later bested when the other Angeloid saw through the deception. This loss sent Chaos plummeting into a deep abyssal chasm, where immense water pressure temporarily incapacitated her. Trapped in the darkness, she reflected on Ikaros’ words and concluded that love is synonymous with pain. Left in the abyss, Chaos resorted to dismembering and devouring fish, intending to grow larger to demonstrate her twisted version of love to the world.
