Summary
Christianne Fortner and her husband became the adoptive parents of Johan and Nina following the murder of Mr. and Mrs. Liebert. Several months after taking the children in, Johan abandoned Nina in their care and fled. The couple attempted to locate him, even publishing articles about his disappearance in the local newspaper, but their efforts proved futile. As Nina approached her twentieth birthday, the Fortners had initially planned to reveal the truth about her origins. However, as the date neared, they decided against it, choosing to let Nina continue believing she was their biological daughter. On the night of the twins' twentieth birthday, Johan orchestrated the couple's murder through Detective Messener and Detective Muller.
