Summary
Eleanor is the shy daughter of a viscount who has fallen in love with William. Her romantic feelings are frequently fueled by misunderstandings arising from William’s polite and accommodating nature. Although her family holds a noble title within the peerage, their financial situation is steadily deteriorating. Consequently, her father strongly desires for Eleanor to marry into the wealthier Jones family, despite their lower social standing. Despite her timid disposition, Eleanor actively seeks William’s attention, such as by inviting him to a tea party at her mansion or visiting his estate under the pretext of viewing blooming roses. She becomes particularly flustered whenever William is near, yet she eventually manages to confess her true feelings while they are watching an opera together. She is almost always accompanied by her loyal servant Annie, who has cared for her since childhood, a fact confirmed in the fourth volume of the manga.
