Summary
Flora serves as the mentor to Schierke, instructing her in the disciplines of magic and Od. She is a potent witch of unknown age and an old acquaintance of the Skull Knight, whom she believes still retains a human heart, suggesting their bond predates his transformation into a ghoul. Previously, she roamed the lands aiding others with her magic until the expanding influence of the Holy See forced her into isolation in the woods near Enoch village. At the Skull Knight’s behest, Flora assisted Guts’ company by placing protective seals on Guts and Casca’s brands to repel evil spirits and supplied them with essential magical gear for their battle against the trolls. She also revealed to Schierke that Guts is the man destined to be intertwined with her life, a revelation Schierke initially refused to accept.
