Summary
Hisana is the late spouse of Kuchiki Byakuya and the elder sister of Kuchiki Rukia. She left Rukia behind as an infant because she lacked the means to care for both of them, a decision that haunted her with regret for the remainder of her days. Byakuya married her despite his family’s strict prohibition against commoners, a stance that underscored their disdain for such unions. Shortly after their wedding, Hisana fell gravely ill and ultimately succumbed to her sickness. While dying, she pleaded with Byakuya to find her sister Rukia and ensure her safety.
