Summary
Joei is the daughter of the Jou family and the younger sister of Jokaku, the former queen of Kei. In stark contrast to her sibling, Joei is self-assured and firmly believes she possesses the qualifications to rule. Consequently, she harbors deep resentment toward Jokaku for being selected as the monarch. As Jokaku grew more withdrawn, Joei actively encouraged this isolation and exploited her sister's trust to consolidate power within the court. Following Jokaku's death, Joei moved to seize control of Kei as the new ruler, while Keiki vanished from the kingdom to search for the next king.
