Summary
Barry the Chopper is a serial killer who adopts a female disguise to facilitate the abduction of women. Initially a fugitive, he is later subjected to experimentation by the Fifth Laboratory. In volume 7, his life changes when he falls in love with Riza Hawkeye during her grocery shopping trip, an encounter that ultimately leads to his capture by the military. Despite his criminal past, he subsequently assists Maria Ross in escaping from prison. In the original anime adaptation, the character is notably defined by his chilling philosophy, declaring, "I kill, therefore I am," in episode 21.
