Summary
Shiranui is a fifteen or sixteen-year-old freshman with AB blood type, initially belonging to Class 1 before transferring to Class -13. Her Minus name is Real Eater. As the granddaughter of the Academy's principal, she serves as the comic relief for the series and is Zenkichi Hitoyoshi's best friend. Although she typically appears as a cheerful and hyperactive girl, she possesses a dark side characterized by brutal tactlessness. Despite her small stature, Shiranui has a voracious appetite and is almost constantly seen eating, even while walking. She demonstrates an unusual perceptiveness and a knack for effortlessly uncovering clandestine information, knowing details that others might find vague. Shiranui harbors hidden resentment toward Medaka; consequently, despite the antagonism between them, Medaka once asked her to become the Vice-President of the Student Council, a role Shiranui refused. She is rarely seen without Zenkichi by her side.
