Lance

Lance

Summary

Lance serves as a flamboyant traveling bishop for the Barsburg Church, where he oversees the Bishop's Apprentice Exam alongside his colleagues Frau, Castor, and Labrador. His personality is defined by dramatic flair; he expresses his emotions through dance, speaks loudly, and uses exaggerated arm gestures while talking, often acting without thinking things through. Lance is also quite vain and confident, possessing a sharp artistic sense and a deep appreciation for art and beauty. Additionally, he has a hobby of reading horoscopes, though his sense of orientation is notoriously poor. On one occasion, he became so lost that he traveled through six districts instead of two, leading his fellow bishops to assume he was dead. His interpersonal relationships are varied. He has a contentious dynamic with Frau, whom he considers a rival; this was evident when Frau attempted to chop Lance’s neck off upon seeing his arrival at the church. His relationship with Castor is similarly strained, as Lance initially forgot Castor’s name and continues to refer to him as "glasses" or "otaku." Despite this, they care for one another, and Castor even sacrificed his potential position as Assistant Archbishop to recommend Lance, believing he would enjoy the role more. Lance is friends with Labrador, whom he looks up to and addresses as "Master Lab."
