Summary
Sachiko describes herself as the mother of Kiyoko. After Kiyoko is abandoned by her father, Sachiko becomes so overcome with despair that she prepares to take her own life before Kiyoko is eventually returned to her care. In a surprising revelation, it is disclosed that Kiyoko is not Sachiko’s biological daughter.
