Summary
Akaba Hayato serves as the captain and tight end for the Spiders, holding a deep reverence for calmness and Nobel Prize winners. His favorite color is red, his preferred food is salad, and he favors monkeys for their intelligence. On the field, he prioritizes the Kick Game, while off it, he is obsessed with music, frequently playing his electric guitar and employing musical metaphors to express his views. During matches, he dons a blue eyeshield and proudly introduces himself to Sena as the real Eyeshield 21. His talent was evident when he earned MVP honors in the Fall Tournament against Oujou's Golden Generation. Following this performance, he accepted an offer to join the Teikoku team, motivated by their strength and his father's transfer to Kansai. However, a confrontation with teammate Kotaro prompted a change of heart, leading him to return to Bando. Due to school regulations, Akaba was forced to sit out for six months, preventing him from playing until the match against the Devil Bats.
