Summary
At sixteen years old, Denji inherited his deceased father's massive debts to the Yakuza. To pay them off, he worked as a Devil Hunter after bonding with Pochita. The Yakuza, secretly controlled by a Devil, betrayed and killed him, but Pochita resurrected Denji by merging with him to become his heart. This transformation allows Denji to shift into a hybrid form by pulling a cord on his chest, granting him a chainsaw head and blades extending from his wrists. Following these events, he joined the Public Safety Devil Hunters under the guidance of Makima.
