Summary
Thors, the father of Thorfinn, served as a formidable general for the Jomsvikings, a reputation cemented by his extraordinary combat skills that earned him the moniker "The Troll of Jom." After the birth of his children, he grew tired of warfare, fabricated his own death, and retired to live as a pacifist farmer. However, the Jomsvikings eventually uncovered his survival and compelled him to return to battle. Before reaching the conflict zone, he was betrayed by his former ally Floki, who hired Askeladd to carry out his assassination. Widely regarded as the most powerful warrior in the series, Thors successfully defeated both Askeladd and Thorkell in one-on-one duels. His strength was so overwhelming that Floki refused to fight him directly, even when supported by a full squadron of Jomsviking troops. Unlike his son, Thors does not have any historical basis.
