Summary
Mitsuo Tanimura is a lawyer who initially advises Nao after she becomes entangled with the LGT. He suggests employing a scam artist to secure victory in the game and directs her to seek out Akiyama. It is not revealed until much later that Tanimura is actually an agent of the LGT, tasked with ensuring players do not unexpectedly hand over the winnings from Round I to the police. Following Round II, he visits Nao’s residence to disclose details about Akiyama’s past and manipulates her into returning to the LGT for the Revival Round. He is subsequently observed monitoring the first stage of the Revival Round alongside Leronira, later appearing at Nao’s home once more to inform her about the second stage of the Revival Round.
