Summary
Abrego leads the Roanapur branch of the Manisarela Cartel, commanding a presence defined by brashness and cowardice. His violent operations, which frequently resulted in bloodshed, earned him the disdain of rival mob leaders such as Balalaika and Mr. Chang. In fact, Balalaika and her Hotel Moscow faction were preparing for war to dismantle his cartel until a series of events altered their plans. Abrego was tasked with taking custody of Garcia Lovelace, a young boy kidnapped by his superiors in Colombia to force his father into selling their lands. While waiting for the boy’s arrival, Abrego learned that a woman in strange attire was searching for him in Roanapur City. He and his soldiers cornered her at the Yellow Flag Bar, where they discovered she was Roberta, the Lovelace family maid. Furthermore, she revealed herself to be the infamous "Bloodhound of Florencia," the former terrorist Rosarita Cisneros, who opened fire on them using a shotgun disguised as an umbrella. The situation deteriorated further when the Lagoon Company arrived at the bar to escort Garcia. After a brief skirmish with Revy, the Lagoon Company fled with the boy. Roberta then bid Abrego’s remaining men farewell before dropping grenades from beneath her skirt, detonating them and destroying the bar. The explosion killed Abrego’s men but spared Abrego himself, who was subsequently rescued by Balalaika’s troops. Balalaika later revealed that her operatives had wiped out the Manisarela Cartel in Colombia.
