Summary
The character known as the "Baby" makes his initial mention in Chapter 25, presenting himself as a short, elderly man who serves as an infamous Neo-Nazi leader. He reveres Johan as the ideal Aryan leader capable of ascending to become the next Hitler and guiding Germany back to prominence. In service to this goal, he works for four individuals who are eager to accept Johan as their political leader. He intends to utilize Nina as bait to coerce Johan, while also keeping her as a safeguard to protect Johan and the other group members from him. This plan collapses when Johan kills one of the four organization members. The "Baby" bears a strong resemblance to a character from Twin Peaks called "The Midget." His first appearance in Chapter 26 mirrors this influence closely, as he is seen dancing to "Be My Baby" while appearing behind a red curtain to Nina Fortner, a scene reminiscent of the Black Lodge's waiting room.
