Summary
Teiei serves as a nyosen residing on Mount Hou, where she is one of fifty oracles tasked with safeguarding the newborn kirin, the creature that selects each kingdom’s ruler. In The Twelve Kingdoms: Sea of Wind, she holds the senior position among the mountain’s oracles and mentors Youka, the latest addition to their ranks. Having served as an oracle for centuries, she has lost track of her exact age and the circumstances of her ascension to nyosen status. Despite her youthful appearance, she possesses a commanding presence, particularly when dealing with intruders who trespass on Mount Hou. Her role is further developed in the anime adaptation, where she appears as a junior nyosen alongside Shoushun, an oracle from En who forms a close bond with Enki.
