Summary
Yeong-ha is a sixteen-year-old prodigy from Korea, widely recognized as the nation's top young professional Go player. Despite his youth, he has reached the fifth round of the Kuksu title, a prestigious tournament comparable to the Honinbo title, and is subsequently chosen to serve as the Korean captain for the Hokuto Cup. He shares a friendship with Hong Suyong, who deeply respects Yeong-ha’s strength and work ethic, viewing him as an older brother figure. However, Yeong-ha also displays a more volatile side, characterized by arrogance and childishness. This demeanor is noted by Suyong’s uncle, a character known for matching attitude with attitude, who frequently critiques Yeong-ha’s behavior. He is often depicted reading a notebook filled with game records.
