Summary
King Vegeta served as the sovereign of the Saiyan race. While he is referenced multiple times within the manga, his visual depiction is restricted to filler episodes and films. In the original manga, he was considered the most powerful Saiyan, though it was noted that his son, also named Vegeta, eventually surpassed him. Prior to the destruction of Planet Vegeta, King Vegeta recognized Freeza’s fear of the Saiyans and organized a rebellion against the tyrant. Anime filler suggests this assault failed, resulting in his swift death, followed by the defeat of the Saiyan elites by Freeza. In the movie Broly: The Legendary Super Saiyan, he commanded the execution of Broly and his father Paragus due to his apprehension regarding Broly’s exceptionally high power level. His physical appearance is never described or shown in the manga, appearing only in the anime special, the aforementioned film, and select original anime scenes. In the manga, he is mentioned briefly during a dialogue exchange between Freeza and Vegeta.
