Summary

Happousai was the perverse and malevolent mentor who trained both Soun and Genma during their youth. As the supreme master of the Anything Goes Martial arts (Musabetsu Kakutō Ryū), he forced his unwilling students to assist him in his lecherous panty raids and peeping expeditions in exchange for instruction, often resulting in their humiliation or injury. After escaping his tutelage, Soun and Genma lived peacefully until Happousai returned to select the next grandmaster. He arrived at the Tendou Dojo and discovered Ranma, whom he pursued romantically despite knowing Ranma was biologically male. Residing at the dojo, Happousai expanded his training of Ranma while broadening his panty raids to include the local neighborhood and the bedrooms of the Tendou girls. Physically, he is a tiny but immensely powerful martial artist, typically dressed in a purple coverall or a green bathing suit. During his raids, he often wears a scarf as a mask. He is bald with white fringe hair and a white mustache. Although he is a master martial artist with deceptive strength, his sole weakness is his perverted nature. Happousai is driven entirely by his lust for women’s underwear, to the point where he would risk his life for a pair of panties. He can be easily defeated by denying this lust, and he suffers withdrawal symptoms if he cannot lech onto an unsuspecting girl or Ranma. While he claims mastery over many magical martial arts attacks, many are merely special effects; for instance, his feared Happo-dai-karin (Happo Fire Blast) Technique is simply a match and a firework. However, he does possess several genuinely powerful special energy techniques.
