Makise, Kurisu

Summary

Makise Kurisu serves as the female protagonist and a key research member within Victor Qondria University's Brain Research Program. Although she is eighteen years old, her academic background is unconventional; she attended school in America and skipped a grade, placing her in the same age bracket as third-year high school students. Her intellectual prowess is widely recognized, with her thesis papers occasionally making the news in the United States. This accelerated educational path, combined with the envy she faced from peers as a young female scholar, forged a resilient and independent character. Kurisu strives to conceal any vulnerability, often maintaining a stern demeanor to project strength. Despite this tough exterior, she possesses a deep curiosity that drives her to investigate subjects of interest with intensity. Her scientific mindset sometimes leads her to hold controversial views, such as prioritizing experimental data over subject privacy. Rintarou frequently comments that she possesses the mindset of a Mad Scientist, a label she personally rejects. She is also well-known for her tsundere nature. Throughout the story, Rintarou assigns her various nicknames, most notably "Christina" and "Assistant."
