Summary
Barry, a low-level pimp, was responsible for forcing Alex into a life of prostitution. Although he was eliminated by Benriya in the first chapter, he remains a persistent presence in Alex's subconscious, consistently mocking her efforts to establish autonomy and rebuild her self-esteem.
