Summary
At first, Kotonami Kanae appears poised to serve as the villain to Kyouko’s angelic persona, yet she proves far kinder than her initial impression suggests. Despite early conflicts, both girls seek genuine friendship and eventually find it in one another. Kanae, who desperately desired to become a star, attended the same audition as Kyouko; although she performed better, she ultimately failed as well. She later joins Love Me as its second member, leveraging the position to her advantage. Although she maintains a tough exterior, Kanae is deeply self-conscious and prone to self-doubt. It is eventually revealed that she struggles to handle children due to her large family, which includes an overwhelming number of siblings, nieces, and nephews. As the story unfolds, she solidifies her friendship with Kyouko.
