Summary
Doc operates the Hanazono clinic, serving as the primary medical caregiver for Shinjuku’s underworld figures. This role yields meager profits, forcing him to occasionally work as a club harker to survive. Despite his financial struggles, he remains a highly skilled physician. He is the second individual, following Umibozu, to recognize that Kaori has been reincarnated as Xiang-Ying. In fact, prior to recruiting Tomoko as his nurse, Doc had previously employed Kaori when she was roughly Xiang-Ying’s age. This character draws inspiration from the original Doc in the City Hunter manga, who consistently assists Ryo. Since this version of Doc did not appear in the City Hunter anime series, viewers might be puzzled by the connection between Ryo and this character.
