Akune, Kouki
Summary
Akune Kouki is a sixteen-year-old second-year student in Class 11 with AB blood type. He serves as the Secretary for the Student Council and is its oldest member, having joined after leaving the Judo Club. He harbored an infatuation with Medaka since middle school and holds a deep resentment toward Zenkichi for his proximity to her. In his youth, Akune was a violent delinquent known as the "Destroyer." He was once tasked by Kumagawa, then president of the middle school Student Council, to assault Medaka. Although she was injured, she refused to fight back. Akune continued his attack until Zenkichi assembled Medaka’s supporters to intervene. When Medaka stopped Zenkichi from harming Akune, he developed feelings for her, which she rejected. This event caused him to become less violent and lose his desire to cause harm. Recognized as the "Prince of Judo" and the club's star, Akune possesses exceptional natural fighting skills. Nabeshima, the judo club captain who despises natural talent, orchestrated a match between Zenkichi and Akune to recruit Zenkichi as her successor if he lost. Although Akune lost the match, Nabeshima recruited him into the Student Council after claiming to Medaka that he had beautiful handwriting. He and Kikaijima are considered "specials," possessing abilities above average but not quite abnormal. It is believed that Akune’s power allows him to copy other people's abilities, albeit to a lesser degree.
