Bikky
Summary
Of mixed African American and Caucasian heritage, Bikky typically acts in front of Ryo as if he were his father. He quickly makes it known that he dislikes Dee, particularly because Dee is interested in Ryo. Afraid that Dee, a former womanizer, might harm Ryo, and uncomfortable with the lack of homosexuality in his environment, Bikky vows to protect Ryo from Dee’s advances by using any means necessary to keep the two apart. As the story progresses, however, Bikky’s respect for Dee grows. Although he never fully accepts their relationship, he stops trying to separate them, choosing instead to settle into a dynamic of loving to hate Dee.
