Summary
Born on March 3, 1978, Mutsumi Otohime is a gentle, frail, and soft-spoken twenty-one-year-old woman residing in Okinawa. Known for being kind, sisterly, and caring, she is also viewed as a ditz who suffers from catatonic fainting spells triggered by anemia, making her appear as though she has died. Like Keitaro, she is a third-year ronin aiming for Tokyo University, but her failures stem from simple errors like forgetting to write her name or fainting during tests. She was a childhood friend of Keitaro, sharing a promise with him and Naru to attend Tokyo U together. Mutsumi has a fondness for watermelons and turtles, gifting the latter, Tama-chan, to Keitaro and Naru. She is one of nine children and bears a strong resemblance to her mother. Often called the "female version of Keitaro" due to their shared clumsiness, she even disguises herself as him to test the Hinata house residents under Kanako’s management, fooling Naru momentarily with her uncanny likeness.
