Doctor Thomas Light, also known as Dr. Right or Dokuta Raito in Japan, is an elderly, Nobel Prize-winning roboticist. As the creator of the protagonist Mega Man and various other robots, he is a peerless scientist. Although a pacifist at heart, he acknowledges that force can sometimes be necessary. He primarily serves a supporting role by developing and distributing new gear. In the Mega Man X series, his support continues through enhancement capsules that provide system upgrades for X, accompanied by messages delivered via silver or blue, slightly translucent holographic projections.
