Summary
Kakeru Ozora, whose name literally translates to "flying in space," was an astronomer captivated by the dream of a princess residing on the moon. His passion led him to discover a new comet, which he named Princess Snow Kaguya, and he observed it with obsessive fascination. When a fragment of the comet fell to Earth, he brought it home for study, unaware that the comet was actually the vessel of an ice creature intent on freezing the planet. The fragment slowly drained his life energy as a result. After rescuing a sick Luna from an oncoming car, Kakeru took her in and nursed her back to health. Luna fell deeply in love with him and wished to become human. Using the power of the Silver Crystal, her wish was granted, and she took Kakeru to view the moon from space.
