Tsukino, Shingo

Summary

Shingo Tsukino serves as the irritating younger sibling of Usagi Tsukino, distinguishing her as the only Sailor Senshi with a known brother. His presence in her life oscillates between providing assistance and offering mockery, as he views her as well-intentioned yet prone to crying and clumsiness. Shingo makes his debut in the opening installment of every series iteration, though he receives limited screen time across various adaptations, leaving much of his background obscure. Although he remains ignorant of his sister’s secret identity, he is captivated by the media-fueled urban legends surrounding Sailor Moon and Sailor V. He stands out as a devoted fan of Sailor Moon, largely due to her rescue of him from the Dark Kingdom early in her heroics. An avid video gamer who maintains strong academic performance, Shingo appears in several episodes of the original series but features sporadically in later arcs. One of his most notable later appearances occurs in episode 144 of Sailor Moon Supers, where he develops a crush on Ami Mizuno.
