Summary
Sanae is the mother of Nagisa and operates the Furukawa Bakery alongside her husband, Akio. While she typically exhibits a childish demeanor and tends to cry easily, she is capable of demonstrating remarkable strength of will and reliability when the situation demands it. She frequently experiments with bizarre bread recipes that result in products so inedible they never make it to the shelves. In her spare time away from the bakery, she works as a tutor for children. Sanae takes great pride in the fact that her youthful appearance often leads people to mistake her for Nagisa’s older sister.
