Shushou
Summary
Shushou, the queen of Kyou, has held the throne for over ninety years, yet she retains the appearance of a young girl, a state frozen from the moment she was selected to assume leadership. Her reign began twenty-seven years following the demise of the preceding king. Although her demeanor can be strict and unpredictable, she has proven herself to be a wise ruler. In the anime adaptation, she displays notable physical prowess, demonstrated by her ability to force Shoukei to bow with just two fingers. Her backstory and rise to power are detailed in the novel Tonan no Tsubasa, which chronicles her journey through the Yellow Sea.
