Kendappa-Ou

Summary

Kendappa-Ou serves as the Queen of the Kendappa clan and acts as the musician for Taishaku-ten. She is constantly accompanied by her harp, which she uses to create beautiful melodies. Her lineage is marked by tragedy; her mother was the former Kendappa-ou, who was deeply in love with Yasha-ou, while her father, the Eastern General, was slain by Taishaku-ten during the Holy War. Despite this history, Kendappa-ou prioritizes strength above all else, leading to her unwavering loyalty to Taishaku-ten, whom she considers the most powerful being in Tenkai. Her personal life is defined by her romantic relationship with Souma, which began when she discovered Souma wandering alone in a forest. Kendappa-ou brought Souma to her palace, Gandaraja, and cared for her, and the two have remained together since that encounter. In Tsubasa Chronicle, Amaterasu appears as the Shinto sun goddess and mythical ancestress of the Japanese royal family, holding the title of Empress of Nihon and serving as the older sister of Tomoyo. She travels to Suwa after her sister’s dreams foretell the death of Kurogane’s parents, aiming to halt the demon attacks. Although she attempts to stop the young prince of Suwa, it is Tomoyo who ultimately restores his senses. During the Nihon Arc, Amaterasu welcomes the travelers with a ceremony and offers them lodging at Shirasaki Castle for as long as they need. When Seishirou arrives, she instructs him and Syaoran not to fight within the castle walls, prompting Tomoyo to cast a barrier to allow their battle to proceed. Following the conflict between "Syaoran" and Syaoran Li, Amaterasu and Tomoyo bid farewell to Kurogane, Fai, and "Syaoran" as they depart to search for Sakura in Clow.
