Summary
Yamamura is a police officer from the Gunma district who eventually rose to the rank of inspector. His entry into law enforcement was driven solely by his fandom of a television series in which Shinichi’s mother played a police officer. He is notorious for his numerous blunders and lacks the capability to solve cases without Conan’s assistance. His cowardice is evident in his fear of blood, corpses, and ghosts, leading colleagues and others to mock him and refuse to take him seriously.
