Minase, Hijiri
Summary
Hijiri Minase is introduced in the Devil's Trill Arc as a talented young violinist. Following a corneal transplant to restore his sight, he unknowingly inherits a demonic pact from the deceased donor. The previous owner had struck a deal with Satanogas to achieve extraordinary musical skill, but the price was his daughter's life. Now that the donor has passed, Satanogas seeks out Hijiri to claim his life and finalize the agreement. Originally conceived as a rough draft of Hisoka, Hijiri shares a nearly identical appearance with him. The mangaka Yoko Matsushita grew fond of the character design and incorporated him into the narrative. Hijiri develops a deep admiration for Tsuzuki, viewing his hard work as angelic. This dynamic sparks mild jealousy in Hisoka, who struggles to express his feelings compared to Hijiri’s confident demeanor.
