Frankenstein, Victor

Summary

Victor Frankenstein, the creator of Frankenstein, was a student of natural science consumed by the delusion of forging an "ideal human." While he, like Caster of Black, sought to create Adam and Eve, his motivation diverged sharply; he viewed this not as a path to Eden, but as an attempt to craft a being as close to God as possible. After dedicating two years to assembling lifeless flesh, he aimed to birth a "wise and beautiful human being, perfect in every way." Although he succeeded in animating the material, the result was a repulsive monster that Victor deemed defective. To him, an artificial life-form lacking emotions was akin to a poorly constructed creature. Terrified, he disassembled her and abandoned the remains, but she repaired herself and tracked him to Geneva, Switzerland. There, she pleaded for a mate similar to herself, but he refused her request.
